Goa Staff Selection – Project Officer in Directorate of Planning: The Registration of Births and Deaths Act 1969, passed by the Constitution of India was extended to Goa, Daman & Diu the then Union Territories with effect from 1st January in 1971. The Government of Goa appoints the Director of the Directorate of Planning, Statistics, and Evolution as the State Chief Registrar of the Births and Deaths (CRBD).

This department is appointed to bring in a system for officially registering all births and deaths in the state of Goa. Its task includes supervising the birth and death registrations across the state of Goa by issuing special instructions to all the offices concerned with birth and death registrations in the State.
