About GSSC: The Goa Staff Selection Commission was constituted under the State Legislature statute, in accordance with the Goa Staff Selection Commission Act, 2019 (Goa Act 11 of 2019). Its body consists of a Chairperson and two members. The GSSC is currently based in Panaji, the capital city of Goa.
Its main purpose is to conduct examinations and select candidates for appointments to Group-C post vacancies existing in various government departments in Goa. The recruitment is strictly governed and guided by the rules for recruitment, framed by the Constitution of India under Article 309.
